Children and Youth
We can’t wait to see our children and young people again after the summer break. We have lots of exciting things planned this year. HTC Children and Youth will continue on the 2nd Sunday of each month during our morning service. Our family service will be back on the 4th Sunday of each month. This is a more relaxed service specifically designed to be intergenerational.
Big changes for Youth Nights which will now be on the FIRST Friday of each month, 7.00 till 8.30pm in the Church Hall.
This is a fun evening for those in years 6 to 11.
On the 2nd Sunday - Our Children and Youth Groups are known as HTC Children and Youth (for ages 1 to 16) run on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The children join with us in church for the start of the service before leaving for activities designed for their particular age groups. All children are welcome, whether their parents attend church or not.
On the 4th Sunday - 0ur services are specially designed with all ages in mind at our 'Family Service' and the children stay in church for the whole service.
The Lady Chapel (Safe Space)
We are working towards removing any barriers to ensure our services and other activities are accessible to all.
God has created each of us uniquely and we welcome everyone to our services and activities.
We ask that everyone is mindful of each other and there may be times during the service when the safe space in the Lady Chapel would be a more comfortable place. Here you can see and hear the service and access sensory toys, quiet spaces and comfortable seating. It is accessed via the door you came in and is available to anyone who needs it. We just ask that anyone under 18 is accompanied by their responsible adult.
HTC Youth Nights
The 1st Friday of the month 7.00 - 8.30pm we run HTC Youth Nights (years 6 - 11) in the Church Hall. There is a small donation of £1 per person which will include food and activities. The purpose of these events will be social and may include a small devotion towards the end of each session.
Youth Alpha
YOUTH APLHA starts on Sunday 8th September 5.00 till 6.30pm and will be held at Chesterton URC Church in Victoria Street.
It will run every Sunday up to October half term. This is a free event for young people in years 6 to 11 who are curious about faith. We are very excited to be partnering with the URC Church. Be sure not to miss our first session as we have a special guest from Alpha UK coming to help us launch Youth Alpha.
